"Arts for All" is an informational seminar sponsored by The NYS Cultural Equity Group, in collaboration with Americans for the Arts.

The seminar will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 10 AM - 3 PM at Pregones Theater in the Bronx. Admission is free.

Party people Winkel and Balktick have entertained the underground and NYC fringe folk for years (view their Flickr photos to see what colorful mayhem you've missed). So, of course, they're pulling out all the stops for New Year's Eve 2010 and invite performing artists to be a part of the fun.

Fittingly called "Transmutation", the NYE 2010 fête-performance will be held on "the entire second floor of a 100-year-old warehouse featuring two enormous rooms with panoramic windows, 16' riggable ceilings, round columns, and level concrete floors." There's a lot of alchemic possibility there...

Food and drink will be served.
Doors at 7:30 PM. Meeting at 8 PM.
At 9 PM, everyone will be shuttled to the warehouse for a walkthrough of the space. By 11 PM, everyone will be back in Dumbo.

Nivedita ShivRaj, our Con Edison Musicians' Residency composer, will give a free concert at Flushing Town Hall on Sunday, November 8 at 2 PM. Check the Queens Ledger, the Queens Examiner, or New York Women Composers for detailed listings. Nivedita plays a unique blend of carnatic (South Indian classical music) and contemporary music. Sunday's concert feature several guests, including jazz guitarist Jason Goldstein.
