Be honest here.  You've had professional development programs for dancers - and you forgot to post them on the Dance Service Organizations' Calendar, didn't you?   It's OK.  We know you're busy.  We forgive you.  Things are crazy and the holidays will be making your life even more crazy any minute now.

Many dance service organizations are always posting - check out programs right now from Dance Theater Workshop, Career Transition for Dancers and Dance/NYC.  Networking events, practical business information for dancers, open forums to discuss trends in contemporary performing.  Letting people know about the great workshops, seminars and professional development that are available to them.

We got 'em.  So check it out. See what's happening.  List your events.  And have a great weekend.

If you're a choreographer in New York City - or if you operate/administer a dance facility - we'd love to hear from you.  We will be sending out surveys in the coming weeks to assess space needs for dance in New York City.  If you'd like to sign up to receive the surveys, go here and fill out the information. If you want to learn more about this important study for the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, check out the press release.

Check out our new spaces for the site last month.  Some have added to another section of the site - some on our multi-disciplinary search are new to the site.  We've also updated our links page, particularly new multi-disciplinary organizations.

And while we're at it - a big thank you to Martin Denton at NYTheatre.com, Morgan Lindsey Tachco at NY Innovative Theatre Awards, and Michelle Burkhart at Dance/NYC for helping to publicize our economic survey.  If you're a performing artist and/or running an arts facility, and you haven't taken this survey yet - what's keeping you?  Go do it now.
