Performing artists need space. It’s that simple. Without it, they cannot create or present their work.
To help resolve artists’ constant and changing needs for workspace, NYC Performing Arts Spaces developed three websites — free online databases providing useful details about hundreds of spaces where artists living in and coming to New York City can rehearse and perform.
Since its debut in 2001, NYC Music Spaces has enabled musicians — instrumentalists and vocalists, emerging and established bands, soloists and orchestras — to easily search for workspace that suits their artistic needs and budget.
After the success of NYC Music Spaces, we launched NYC Dance Spaces, designing it to serve the space needs of all ranges and genres of dance.
NYC Theatre Spaces debuted in March 2007. In addition to listing spaces for theatre rehearsals and performances, it also serves the needs of New York's literary community, enabling them to find spaces suitable for readings.
